What is Marketing Funnel and why should I care?

In simple terms, the Marketing Funnel is taking your prospects from the discovery stage to advocacy stage. It's a step-by-step process where your potential customer identifies you as a company to partner with.

But that does not mean everyone you target will become a customer of yours. It depends on many factors such as how good your product or service is, does the prospect have financial burdens, etc.

Note: Marketing Funnel strategies are always changing, no marketing funnel strategy is evergreen.

What kind of content should I use in each stage of the Marketing Funnel?

The image below shows what kind of content works in each step of the marketing funnel.

ToFu — This stage is an awareness or knowledge sharing stage where the main objective is to educate the audience about the overall problem statement. This can be done through blogs, podcasts, webinars, etc.

MoFu — This is a consideration stage where the main objective is to show how you helped or how you can help to solve a particular problem statement. This can be done through case studies, eBooks, reports etc.

BoFu — This is a decision stage where the main objective is to show the practical example of how you help some other companies to solve the problem. This can be done through demos, client testimonials, references etc.
