I visited Sri Lanka on February. And I must say it was an adventure.

We were checked at every airport because of COVID-19, but that was necessary.

I am going to share my journey with you and I will let you decide if Sri Lanka is a good place to travel or not.

  • Day 0 — Hyderabad to Chennai
  • Day 1 — Chennai to Colombo
  • Day 2 — Negombo to Kandy
  • Day 3 — Kandy to Welligama
  • Day 4 — Weligama to Galle Fort
  • Day 5 — Mirissa
  • Day 6 — Mirissa to Colombo

The one thing I liked about Sri Lanka is their culture and the traffic rules. Because I am from India, I have never seen this type of discipline.

  1. Day 1 — Negombo

I stayed in a beautiful hotel in Negombo. The view was surreal. Though I struggled with the humidity.

2. Day 2 — Kandy

I just cannot stay away of Kandy anymore. Such an incredible place with lot of history behind it. My time in Kandy was awesome. My stay was in Sobaya Hotel, the place and room and the view was super awesome. I suggest you guys to stay at Hotel Sobaya.

3. Day 3 — Weligama

Weligama was nice, and HUMID again. I enjoyed the beach.

4. Day 4 — Galle Fort and Madu River safari

I always wanted to see the place where the epic matches of India and Sri Lanka. The fort was awesome. Madu river safari was incredible as I got a history lesson.

5. Day 5 — Mirissa ❤

There is no place like Mirissa. The beach, the peace and the shacks just made my day.

6. Day 6 — Back to Colombo

My journey and experience was very awesome in Sri Lanka. I hope when the COVID 19 is cured and all of us are safe, I can go back to Sri Lanka and travel some more.

The people are always ready to help, most of them know Hindi or Tamil which was nice for me.

I suggest you guys to travel this wonderful country.
