A successful landing page always includes an awesome hero image which shows the specialty of the product. Not stressing on hero image can be a bad idea for your eCommerce website.

Tips for hero image:

· Avoid stock photos: Avoiding stock photos is the number 1 priority for your eCommerce website. You don’t want the same hero image for another website which can drastically lower your website performance. Find out how?

· Focus on the product: Always try to focus on the product and what are you trying to sell. Make sure the product image is of high quality and the image reach your customer sentiments.

2. Headline.. Headline.. Not lengthy headline

I have seen many e-commerce landing pages having lengthy headline which impacts negatively. The headline should be your e-commerce perfume, you should lure visitors through your headline.

Tips for headline:

· Keep it short: Make sure your headline is short and simple. If your visitor is not attracted in 5 seconds then its time you must experiment with your headline. AND, for heaven’s sake, keep it short 😊

· Always persuade your audience by giving away the benefits. A benefit-driven headline is proven to be impacted more than a simple product description in the headline.

3. Simple yet powerful CTA

Simple and powerful CTA have a power. CTA button should be the one which stands out in your landing page, it should attract them, like chicken steak with barbeque sauce (with French fries) does to you.

Tips for CTA buttons:

· Make it colorful: Color is the one factor which dramatically affects the landing page. The most effective CTA buttons have contrasting colors.

· Clearly visible CTA button: You must have seen many e-commerce pages having CTA buttons which cant be seen with naked eyes. I have struggled with few finding the CTA which irritates the buyer. SO make sure the CTA button is clearly visible and make sure you have appropriate gaps so that it stands out.

· Demand urgency in your CTA button: You must have seen many CTA buttons which says BUY NOW or BOOK NOW which sometimes doesn’t appeal you. SO, you must add some urgency in your CTA button such as start with a Verb such as Discover or GET so a user knows what exactly it needs to know.

4. The FLOW

The flow of a landing page is very VERY important. Your CTA and headline shouldn’t be haphazardly placed in your landing page. Try to make sure your user sees a STORY in your landing page. Every aspect of the landing page in an e-commerce site should complement each other. Like they love them to the moon and back. Your visitor’s journey should be pleasant, even if they are not interested in your product to make sure they remember you with the best landing page they ever saw. THE IMPACT.

5. Trustworthy reviews

A has shown that trustworthy reviews on the landing page have a great impact on your landing page, product & conversions.

Tips for the reviews:

· Make sure the testimonials are clean which means don’t divert the attention of users to other topics than yours.

· Make sure you include their name and designation.

· No anonymous reviews, make sure you add testimonials of a person, an ACTUAL PERSON.

6. Header and Footer — — OUT

It is very tempting to keep header and footer which give navigation bar on your e-commerce landing page but stop that. Why? Because you don’t want your user to drive away with so many links in your header and footer. The only thing you should include is terms and agreement in the end.

You must be wondering “what about social media link?” — Let me tell you social media links are meant for sending people to the landing page, not vise versa.

7. Landing page design

Landing page design should be simple and most importantly clean. The landing page of an e-commerce platform should have white spaces. White spaces give breathing space for the users and content which then let users land on perfect place where they want to go.

8. Mobile….Friendly

Every eCommerce landing page should prioritize to have a compatible landing page. As you must be knowing mobile users gets converted more on an e-commerce website than desktop users.

Tips for mobile-friendly landing page:

· Incorporate large fonts. You don’t want your user to zoom in to see the content.

· Everything should be accessible with just one finger, they can scroll and reach out to any content in just one finger.

· Using two CTA buttons, one on above and bottom of the landing page so that you get more clicks and user access flexibility.

9. Masthead

A moving or animated can increase your website traffic and conversions exponentially. We all know how competitive e-commerce business is and you need to catch attention in a single go with an animated masthead.

10. A/B testing on full alert

Every e-commerce site is not successful with only one go, one should always use A/B testing to get more lead and conversion. You never know what will impact more. Everything is a learning and you must do it more often.
